About 35% of people fail out of DLI, they get assigned new jobs. You make a list of languages you want and the AF matches you with one at BMT, it may or may not be on your list. For Active Duty you cannot outright pick your AFSC you make a list of a dozen or so jobs you want and the Af matches you with one.
